I actually just can’t deal with this smut. It’s repetitive and when it isn’t I find myself grimacing :( it’s a shame cause I do love the world and I like the characters

I feel like the whole atmosphere so far is reminding me so much of the first couple books of throne of glass and it’s so nostalgic to me.. except it’s does NOT hold back on describing the MCs affinity for violence (run the other way if you’re squeamish). It’s giving such Celaena energy but she actually kills people this time aha 🤠

I’m like obsessed with this book. It has so many of the classic Roman tasty tropes but they are done so so tastefully. I can’t remember the last time I was this giddy about romantic/sexual tension but also so so invested in the plot. And no one’s even made any moves yet! &THE FRIENDSHIPS oml I’m so invested, I feel like I haven’t been this invested in Roma fast friendships since the ACOTAR bat boys!! Ahhh!

I feel like so far (which isn’t far) I haven’t been inhaling this like the first book. In the first book almost every chapter was a cliffhanger which for me (with absolutely killer ADHD) let me just like get addicted and forget I was actually reading at all (insanely impressive for me). I think the difference is that in this book the chapters don’t end like this which is preventing me from getting lost in it..
