Cliched about the South! Includes righteous white women who think delivering a pecan pie to a black caregiver in a settlement will solve everything.

Has a vampire, a rat plague that kills an elderly woman, and black children disappearing mysteriously. The women’s’ group think it is the new racist white guy. They are correct.

I thought this was a terrible story and life is too short for reading books like this.

A good story with topics that were not easy to talk about in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Loving it!

Stacey writes well yet the story plot is convoluted and unbelievable. It has everything from Supreme Court Judge being in a coma who holds the balance of power to a corrupt President to DHS to FBI to a biogenetic testing company owned by a man in South Carolina who is in cahoots with a lady in Indian who is ill. Not to forget the law clerk the comatosed Judge left as his POA. All a bit far-fetched.

This book has some great advice yet it is too much like what a counselor would write. I will see if I can keep reading it.
