In this story the protagonist uses an air rifle to assassinate people. I looked this up and sure enough there are air rifles powerful enough today such as in the aptly named "Benjamin Rogue" which is a .357 caliber production air rifle in. Wikipedia says the oldest airgun in the world was made in 1580 (amazing!)

I have never read this one. In fact this set was written after Doyle brought back Sherlock Holmes after killing him off because of the public outcry.

Fascinating and flawed book. I am very tempted to give it 5 stars.

Thought provoking novel about an assassin who specialises in anti terrorism. The author is a very insightful writer. Action is very powerfully described.

This book is very accessible to the common person to get concepts of Indie publishing.

I watched my cricket team (New Zealand) in the world cup final. They got there playing a certain way and went into the final with the same strategy. Their opponents (Australia) destroyed them. When the game was over I wondered what Sun Tzu would say and I swear to all that is above and below I opened my kindle on rule 28 which said, 'Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory... Amazingly wise book!

Just listened to an interesting BBC documentary about the Russian art of "maskirovka" (military deception) in terms of Ukraine conflict and in other wars in their history. These guys obviously are fans of Sun Tzu...

Finished! I'd give it a solid 4 stars. I have to admit my knowledge of US history is sketchy at best so this was fascinating in that regard. I did think at the beginning this had the potential to be the US equivalent of the Da Vinci Code with a few tweaks to the character's POVs, and a few other details. (Who am I to judge?) But it was much, much better then The Lost Symbol. I'll post a review shortly...

Good old Bob and an acronym that makes perfect sense (without spoiling for anyone) the "three P's" are so simple but as with most Green Beret tactics and mentality - very effective. 4 stars easily. If I can apply a quarter of this stuff it'll go to a 5!

Shelfless book. Like Let's Get Digital but with plenty of author self motivational techniques taken from Mr Mayer's time as a green beret. This book speaks to me on that level as this is another facet to being a writer.

I downloaded the sample and really liked Bob Mayer's comment (roughly) that in the past the gatekeepers were the agents, publishers and so forth. Now, the gatekeeper is you... Probably will be similar info to Let's Get Digital but repetition is the father of learning!

It's got a great protagonist, there's something about knives and stabbing that sends a shiver down my spine of revulsion. But I do feel a bit like this could have been one of the great thrillers, but falls short. All the elements are there...I'll elaborate more in my review. Still a very good read and highly recommended.

Still very impressed. Reads like Dan Brown crossed with Lee Child. Has great detail on American history I never knew about.

If only it had a more compeling opening few pages. I don't want to fall into the trap of raving about a book before i read the final page - but so far 4.5 stars!

Seems like half the book is made up of successful indie authors' own stories. Let's Get Visible author is a clever guy - very very good book for authors, like me, making the move into indie publishing.

It was a bit slow going in the beginning, but once the main character was clear and story began - it grabbed me. This author knows the military (I think he was ex-special forces...I'll confirm for the review)

Read about this author in 'Let's Get Digital'. It's quite dense historically in terms of USA and so far thoroughly enjoying it I was after a thought provoking thriller. Not sure how this will unfold...
