Enjoyable so far, though a little harder for me to connect with than the Adam Binder novels were. Interesting background and premise, just interested in seeing where it all ultimately ends up. The romance angle is actually a bit more forced feeling than it was in the Adam Binder novels, and is more of a fringe aspect in this one.

I know I'm supposed to pretend I don't know the author's stances and stuff so I can enjoy a book but...when the chud author makes the wimpy, whiny loser character a gender studies major who occupied wall street, it's kind of hamfisted - but that's what I expect from the puppies, it's why they never win anything. The story is funny in a way but also insanely cringe at times.

It's fun to re-read this a few years later with some 'fresh eyes' so to speak - I long hated HP for arbitrary reasons related to myself being an ass, so I think i was looking at it through those goggles for many years. It's better than I remember - hah!

I started this with little knowledge beyond Audible reviews, and was thinking it's been ok (but derivative) so far - reviews on GR are telling me it's going to get arguably "worse" so I'm bracing and hoping it stays fairly entertaining. The training portion of things is all but glossed over which is wild since that's the basis of so many books.

Pretty typical stuff we saw in the first couple books, but still entertaining. I continue to struggle much more with Vic chapters, finding it to be a weird spin, but still good.

Enjoyable enough book, though there's a shockingly large amount of pretty graphic sex, which isn't a problem aside from the frequency making it noteworthy

I am absolutely not sure what I even think of this book as I coast into the finish. I feel like large swaths of it I completely tuned out and just didn't find interesting, even though the writing and characters were, overall, very good. I had a bit of this during my other Swan readings - loving the author, but just not engaging the way I'd like.

I have to say that this novel feels like a...letdown? Just brilliant ideas, great snark, but it's used in a way I am not a huge fan of. I feel like this is a concept that could spark some amazing stories but so far this isn't one of them.

I'm reading this very slowly, but I'm getting through it. I feel like a lot of potential is being left on the table, which is a weird thing to say/feel about a Sanderson book.

I am both enjoying YANP, and just NOT feeling it. I am also well aware this is not specifically a genre that is in my wheelhouse, so I am trying to give those portions some grace. But I'll admit that "living through young woman exploring her wardrobe in a new universe" is a bit tedious.

I've had a lot of fun with this book. I think I went in expecting it to be more humorous and lighthearted than it's actually been - it's mostly just a regular progression type fantasy with some funny elements. Good writing though, and I am enjoying.

This book is picking up speed very quickly now that we've switched from the "setting everything up" portion to the "oh god oh god oh god look at all the effects of this problem" portion. Looking forward to seeing what is going to shake down on this one.

I am lost in and with this book. I have sessions where I'm dialed in and everything is so vivid and "wow", and then other times it fails to hook me and I find myself bailing out of reading because I'm not interested. Love Lawrence's prose, just trying to find my groove with this set of characters.
