I wondered why Ryland Grace would spend his last days on the planet Erid.

I found this book to be somewhat phantasmagoric. I had three years of Spanish in high school, but I had to use a Spanish dictionary a lot. Still, I didn't find all the words within the dictionary. Sometimes the memoir was hard to follow.

This was a very moving book. At times the story seemed surreal.

I really liked this book. Beatriz was a fearless person. I liked her relationship with Nick. It was unfortunate that Eduardo decided to side with Communism.
