Alright Ms. Lion LFG

Let’s (and I cannot stress this enough) fucking GOOOOOOOOOOOO

The audiobook narrator keeps doing this strangled upset voice for characters acting emotionally (mostly the mc’s mom) and it’s so annoying

Boinking paleontologists

Now’s my chance to finally learn about the British court system

Man the cover and concept is so good AND it’s set in Boston, but the average rating is so slow that I’m worried about what I’m getting myself into

May DNF this!!!
Suffers too much from “Having Been Written By A Man”
I have 7 days left on the library loan and 45% of the audio left, so I guess I’ll wait to see if I need a background listen some time in the next week but despite the cool premise, this will probably be a 2 star if I finish it

This hits btw

I was told this was a horror novel and it absolutely isn’t lol

cat book, book with cats

This is a real “book for book lovers” and it’s pretty cute. Constant references to beloved sci fi and fantasy books from like the last decade and it’s very fun to be like “omg I’ve read that, love that book”

Unbelievably thrilled to have an audio advanced copy of this!!! One of my most hyped reads of the year

Having a tough time with this…I had such a hustle mindset in my 20s that I can’t relate to and dislike this main character, who constantly bemoans that she’s living in her mom’s guest room doing nothing with her life, while also failing to do anything to change her circumstances. Girlie, I worked 70 hours a week to afford rent so I could move out in my 20s! Drive for uber or something while you job hunt!
