Love this from the book sums up me. ‘Well, in my experience, age doesn’t stop you doing daft things; you just do them slower. And it’s more undignified.’

Enjoying this. Chris has got older and for a while looked like he wanted to recapture youth. No spoilers. I was wondering while reading what his midlife thing would be, probably not a motorbike or a sportscar. Just shows how people change and then reflect on life.

Getting through this quickly. Set in the UK so some places are familiar.

Enjoyable so far. Not as funny as the first book but I don't suppose humour is always possible on a long bike ride. I'm glad Chris isn't on his own for this part of the journey. I like Dea.

Almost finished this book and technically the fictional day. Cleaning teeth now.
