This book had a great review/recommendation in my local bookshop so picked it up. Seemed like a great read and I have absolutely loved it so far. I’m sure it follows a basic plot but every new chapter is incredible.

I don’t like that the characters are so mean flawed and unlovable… I wanted some more softening and meaningful friendships but shall see what finishes here. Hardly any character development ??

Why is everyone in this book so flawed they’re basically unlovable as literal characters. The constant character assassination is TIRESOME

I thought this was a new Holly Black book and i had the thought “why are the teens so grungy and listening to hole” then I realised it was the first book. I don’t think I like Holly Blacks style but I’ll probably finish this and find out by how much..

This is a tough read it’s almost TOO well written. I love it and I hate it

I need more books with teleportation and portals. I love that there’s been a bit in this but I’m desperate for more

I started this book MONTHS ago but idk what happened I got a bit bored or annoyed. Can’t name it. I mean I always know what I’m getting into with Mass or maaas book but I just felt like… meh. Now we are back in the lab with Ithan and Hypaxia after I picked the book up again and it’s fun. I guess I needed more variety

I felt like this book had a comforting predictability but then after the hotel stay… I’m enjoying the journey rather then predicting
