So far, I'm a bit disappointed. Not that it's HORRIBLE, but I guess I shouldn't have read all of those great reviews before reading it. There are certain phrases and things mentioned that don't seem to be historically accurate.

Also, while Vianne is likable and easy to relate to, Isabelle isn't. Is she supposed to be a hero? Am I supposed to be cheering her on? So far I am not.

So far it is a nice story, a few aspects of it are somewhat unrealistic (Isabelle's blatent rudeness towards people that can kill her....the nazi officer asking the names of Jewish people as if they don't already know), but besides that I am enjoying it.

Already reeeeally like it. Can't wait to read more and get deeper into the story line.

Wow. Surprisingly better than the first so far!

Sort of reaching a slow point in the book right now. It's clear something is about to happen but I don't know what and it's starting to feel a little slow. But we shall see...

I really wish this book was available on kindle. I would be so much farther ahead by now.

Love love love this book. The way EOC describes animals, and farms, and horses, and a love budding between two people that one would never have thought possible is abosolutely beautiful to me. Love this book.
