Boring. DNF.

I like this book so far! The “cozy fantasy” reminds me of “Legends and Lattes”. The themes of love, connection, and loss remind me of “A Man Called Ove”. 🥺

Loving the first paragraph. Beautiful scene setting and descriptive powers! And immediate humour. After the last 5 disasters in my library quest, I see a glimmer that I hope will be treasure.

I’m sorry, no. This book feels underdeveloped. I think there’s a good story under there possibly, and the author has a lot of potential. This book feels like a first attempt - I keep feeling confused about what the characters are thinking and feeling, as we jump around from sentence to sentence and scene to scene.

Talk about belabouring a point, JEEEEZ

This read is such a struggle. The payoff better be as good as I’ve been told.
