As a geographer from the edge of Appalachia (and we - including the university he references - pronounce it App-a-latch-a) with years of life experiences living there, I agree a lot of his points and do not think that he "sold out his people." He talked honestly of what he saw, learned, and knew growing up in very unstable living conditions.

I would like to read this, not due to the supposed Liberal understanding of Trump voters, but to better understand Appalachian culture and the folks whom still call it home. My wife's family is from Eastern KY and SE Ohio and I would like to better understand the life my in-laws have and are living.
