i thought i hated this because i was grumpy and sleep deprived. turns out i just hate this!

how can a best selling author be so fucking consistently & mind-bogglingly boring? i’ll never know! dnf

why are we a hundred and fifty pages in and still haven't fucking gotten to the main plot???????? more importantly how do i keep tricking myself into picking up stephen king?????

someone make jordan peele and michael b jordan read this book pls

i wasn't expecting to dnf this one, truly. but the main couple got together like 50 pages ago and it was pitched as if it was enemies to lovers. what the fuck would i read the rest for? i don't care about the pretend politics of holidays. especially not christmas. and the whole thing is repetitive. this book could've been 150 pages shorter i guarantee you. how many times do i have to be told the same thing??

thanks to tomathy for encouraging me to impulse buy this book!!! i'm insanely excited to be feeling like a romance girly rn. i feel part of something huge and wonderful

you may be wondering: "mars, didn't you JUST finish this book and HATE it?" yes. but my best friend has requested i annotate all the reasons i hate it so she can read it because she likes the series that much. and i'll be damned if i don't count the re-read.

it seems... i have grown out of this series. and also i thought this book would be about the boys' lives but unfortunately it still very much focuses on a romance i cannot give less of a shit about

this is so dumb to be picky about but i didn't know the cat became sentient. now she's a bitchy woman cat. it's almost like... a man wrote this... or something

i felt kinda bored so i looked at the reviews. apparently it only gets more boring from there. dnf.

“Fuka had, at some point, also dropped the chan when she addressed Kokoro.” i wonder if the translator added this detail in for the sake of people who don’t speak japanese and may not notice

not even that far in and this book absolutely STINKS of the millennial brand of “im not like other girls”. which tracks considering the dumb ass bitch who rec’d it to me. hope ur doing terrible <3 fuck you <3333 (and don’t worry. this is literally about a 40 year old that acts like a petty child. im not indirecting anyone i was ever friends with)
