Certain things are so over the top descriptive I feel like I lose what’s trying to be said. Also is Natalie the only person who sees/experiences the magic in this world? Like why does nobody react to things that she describes

I care more about the magic and the food and the neighborhood than this forced romance with Daniel. They’ve met FOUR times, 2 of which when he came to eat at her restaurant, and he’s saying that things that are important to her are also important to him and that she means a lot to him
