I take issue with this and others like it in the genre. Spicy, so it propels you through DV, CSA, pedo vibes and questionable ethics until the last pages when the twist turns out to be a *little bit* more ethical so you can you feel a *little bit* better about it. Listen Sloan - if that even is your real name - I don’t feel better about it!

Would love to know how Moore landed this story and all the journals! Wild. I skimmed a ton it’s too long, but a story worth knowing. Thank God I wasn’t born in the 1800s, because I would’ve been committed by a husband for sure. 🥵😆

Loved it so much. It’s hilarious now and it was written in 1815. So crazy to think all that has changed, Austen is a genius!

Sweet, hopeful, lovely. If I had a book like this to make sense of things from my childhood I can imagine it would’ve had a huge impact.
