Maaaan, this is kinda pissing me off. The MC is really starting to irritate me. Also, saying the truth isn't always the truth is such nonsense to me. If what you believe is true turns out to be not true, then it wasn't a truth to begin with. Jeez louise.

Maaannn, I'm not sure I can finish this. The storytelling is good but the ML has no morals and I can see the FL going soft for him already and the children idolizing him. Even the ML's background doesn't justify anything to me (atleast basing from what's already revealed).

The pairing is still not growing on me and the heroine is starting to annoy me. I do like the others though and still interested on what will happen. This is just one of those tropes that I don't like.

I am just going to pause and say, Bea's family is hilarious.

*A Christmas Abduction* - It's okay. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. Just not into the main pair but I do like Jason.

1st story: I'm not too keen.
2nd story: Loved it. Except the extra cheesy part at the end.

At The Sign Of The Golden Pineapple: needs more grovelling but has some funny scenes

Done with the first story, The Original Miss Honeyford. First part were awesome but the rest felt a bit rushed. I liked the initial characterisation of Honey. Although that is expected since this is a collection of stories.

Super funny so far. I love the heroine, her mother and her mother's friends. Still a bit lukewarm with the hero because of what he did at the start. We'll see.

So far not liking it. Felt like it's written by a different person. Too choppy and dialogue doesn't read like it something actual people would say.

I miss the story lines about Sources and Shields. Thus one seems to be concerned more in the political side of things and not a lot of Taro and Lee.

So far, not really liking the hero or the heroine.

The first book was good but I'm in the middle of the second one and I'm having grave doubts if this is written by the same author. I kept hoping that'll get better but it just keeps getting worse. The characters' character kept on changing (or they all have the same personality now) and the scenes kept on changing without any transition.

The hero is an asshole. I wonder if he will improve.

I find the heroine funny if a bit delusional and cringe-y. The hero's another one of those asshole-type that's popular in older romances. I wonder if he's going to be redeemed in my eyes.

Hmmm, not sure if it's just me but I thought the character's conversations seem to skip thoughts. I noticed this too in a another work of the author that I've read. Or I'm just slow?

For example, I don't get why Elizabeth suddenly spews out her views on marriage when Haverford was just telling her that Haldale was a rake and Charlotte might appreciate the warning.

Zenobia's prickliness is starting to grate on me. And don't get me started on that name. Gawd, I hope this improves. I was so excited to read Lady Justice and Peregrine's story.

Ugh, Liadan is such a preacher. And not the good kind.

Sorcha set a very high bar for heroines. So far, I'm not liking any of the characters in this book.

Done with Bath Quadrille. It was good. I liked that they didn't whisk away their marital problems magically.

Er, um, what is happening?!? Lol. This reads like a very painful farce (and I *love* farces but this is just *shakes head*).

End of chapter one and I hate the heroine. I hope this improves.

Halfway through but still not feeling it. Everything seems contrived though some of the scenes were funny.

81% in and still no sympathy for Lady Geileis, Lily or Ash. Grim is love though.

I wonder if I'm destined to dislike Mary Balogh's heroines that are name Christina. If I remember correctly, the heroine in Slightly Dangerous was named Christina too and I didn't like her either (at least on first reading)
