I say this all the time but I need YA authors to stop pretending their characters are smart. Stop calling your characters brilliant...It simply doesn't hold up to any scrutiny. This book has a tissue paper plot and the depth of a puddle.

This book is already very, very stupid. Among the most brainless setups I've read in recent memory, or perhaps all time.

This SURE IS a cop romance and Derek suffer from, how do I put this delicately, sexual predator mentality. Yikes! After this I will give Tessa Bailey one (1) more chance to redeem herself before blacklisting her off my reading lists because this novel seriously ain't it for me.

Unfortunately this is shaping up to be the worst book I've read this year. I wish Célie would just die so it would end. Michal keeps giving her credit for developments she wasn't at all responsible for and it's completely baffling... There's nothing good about this book so far. Not one thing :(
