This is my first reread since I was a preteen. I'm mad because I either (a) remember where the big mystery is or (b) figured it out way too fast. Not bad but annoying. I also think this was one of my first audiobooks and I forgot how good it was

It's good so far. Definitely one to reread and take notes with. I'm slowly starting to get into nonfiction but this writing style and the audiobook narrator work for me

I just looked into this author to make sure it's not AI (due to how short it is), and that was such a fun rabbit hole. This doesn't read like AI, but it does look like she uses some AI images in marketing, so that isn't as fun.

The hinting at all of the characters makes sense if there was a 9 book romance series before this.

I am not mad about not reaching my reading goal. TBH I didn't think I would reach it. 48 is just my favorite number. I surprised myself with the reading I did get done. I barely touched or got through high fantasy which is my usual majority genre. Romances are just a tad easier to push through. The covers spread for my year in review is stunning so that's a win, haha. I kinda want to try another platform but tbd.
