Why does this book remind me of “the hearts invisible Furies?”

Journal entry aka book review. I keep trying to push through this book because it’s very cute with charming characters & atmosphere, but I need to remind myself in the future that I probably have aged out of books like this. A “Cozy mystery“where toxic people attempt to publicly humiliate innocent people because of their own unhealed trauma Isnt light hearted. It’s a witch hunt. In this case literally.

The shark attack had me paused for a little while. That was pretty gruesome.
