Believe me, I know this is not the kind of book, but can’t someone attempt to assassinate this Emperor? Anything at all to add physical action to the plot🌚

Truly like politics, it’s a lot of thinking and clever work. I miss reading battle sequences.

Honestly, if I roll my eyes one more time, it would fall off my face. Can this book end?

How do I say this portion inspires me in a way that isn’t insensitive?
Because all that led to this moment, and how gutting this feeling hits is apt.
Every word feels like the exact feeling this kind of grief emotes.

I’m so tense rn. To believe or not to believe, because they have deceived me once before showing Agnes can interpret the signs wrong sometimes.

Aside this though, this is such vivid writing.

It feels like I’m everywhere, all at once. The pov style is perfect for this book.

Not this book making me feel nostalgic!

The writing style, voice used, everything. It’s premium secondary school vibes

Now I’m remembering other books about aliens I read then. This was such a good phase too, alongside the vampire phase.

I think there’s something about how YA Fantasy books were written then that I sometimes miss now

I have a specific sticker in mind rn and it isn’t a pleasant one.
Between the repetitive information and boring scenes, this has been a waste of a plot that could have been done better.
Boy, how many brain cells will I have when I’m done?

Something needs to start happening in this book😵‍💫😵‍💫
If I follow one more mundane routine, I’ll scream.
These Easter egg sprinkling is not cutting it.

There’s something to be said about good foreshadowing. And there are lines I suddenly understand what they mean when the payoff comes.

Even better, I like how they stuck out enough for me to know then it was odd without knowing why.

This is beautiful writing.

I enjoyed the series in more ways than the plot, themes and character set up.

The callbacks, dry wit and strength of the book stayed with me enough even with characters I didn’t like, I understood their motivations.

The core was a reminder that for great things to happen (good/bad) one has to be willing to do the unthinkable.

And those unthinkable acts of hope and destruction was done remarkably well.

It’s very odd that there are bits about the plot that I haven’t been a big fan of and an entire pov that anytime it comes up, I roll my eyes and want to be done with it…still…

This love!! This couple makes so much sense to me. Everything about them; how they move, how they think, how they love each other.

I’m so with this ship, I follow blindly to see the end.

Odd as it is coming from me, this book could have done well creating a map.

Or I dunno some form of backstory. This new element seems stark against the story we’ve been weaving through.

Fingers crossed it balances out soon because this bit is throwing me off my pace.

It’s been a minute that I actually liked both the MMC and FMC in a book in a way that meant I think they not only matched but complemented each other.

These two do.
I like it specifically because I usually don’t like the teacher/student combo, but this was done superbly.

The catchphrases! Certain little details coming full circle! Loved it

And the world, I don’t mind reading more of it.

The story is still going strong..but sidebar, why are there so many typos? I didn’t understand it when people say typos take them out of the book, but now I get it.

I would be painting the good visual and I’m like “is that meant to be ‘painful’ there?”

I can’t help smiling at the similarities in how stratagrams here are so reminiscent of glyphs in Witch Hat Atelier.

The drawing and logic of how the magic works. It’s just cool to have a reference board with visuals. Now I can’t stop seeing Max as Professor Qifrey.

Heavy on this is my kind of humor😂😂

Boy! I couldn’t wait to finish this book

Uhm..so the honeymoon phase is clearing from my eyes and I’m having questions.

First off is the mention of a character at this exact bit I’m reading that was most definitely killed by an arrow to the eye chapters ago😵‍💫😵‍💫

And can Sylvia be more consistent about her drivers? What’s still winning is me obsessed with Arin.

This is the most times I’ve dropped reviews btw

The lore is rich, the politics good enough, and the characters by far are steadily climbing to some of my faves.

It’s odd that I like characters to the point I almost ignore the world building, but this dynamic, I can get behind.

Legit woke up thinking about this book.
