It’s good enough, I guess.
It felt too mundane for the end of the world stakes in it.
Somehow, I couldn’t get behind the whole servitude portrayal in this one. (PS: I have been consuming a lot of this ‘servitude trope’ lately and not intentionally)

Not one of my fave of her works, but it’s not bad.

This book started picking up around 60%
Though I understand why there had to be a slow build up, ngl, I’m not really as interested in this at all.

I know, again, that it’s the character set up, but the FMC straddles the line between boring me out and not holding my interest at all. Both her and the plot of the book.

Even without my brain, there’s still something non-cohesive about this book that hits slightly off.

The drawing styleeeee!!!! I kid you not, it’s even better than Witch Hat Atelier. It’s so good!

Again, the blend of comedy even with the serious themes is something to be admired. And here we are with a villain we ought to hate, but you only want to understand why he committed such atrocious acts.

Everything about this volume ate!

The last 30% of this book was an irritating tug of war between whining and people saying one thing and going back on it exactly two scenes after.

And don’t get me started on the repetition at this point.
It would have been a 3 star read but the last bits absolutely dropped it for me.

Even reading this volume, I almost cried🥹🥹

This is legit one of the best beginnings for any manga I’ve read. The perfect blend of comedy and tragedy. And the flashbacks were done sooo right!

Plus the art style is so dynamic.
I like how the drawings burst out of the panels or sometimes merge all at once. It gives it such a fluid view

Now that the anime release date draws closer, I can’t wait to see how it would look on screen

Almost forgot to log this by how fast I read it.

This Harlequin haze seems to really be working out for me rn.

Probably will pick another book in this series before my nostalgia phase thins out

I lost brain cells reading this book

With the first book, I could cackle at the ridiculousness.

There is no such here but entire passages of foolishness and repetition.

Even the spice isn’t doing well here.

This book wasn’t needed sha, but we continue onward.

Now I’ve watched the anime and went further with the manga…what am I going to do with myself till the next volume is out😭😭😭

The amount of delulu this book is feeding me that I’m eating up ehh!!!

Everything about this volume eats! The back story, the tension, the stakes…the degradation of their rivalry…love eet

This would be a great animation. I can see it so clearly

This journey to ‘understanding’ the inner workings of someone is one I like.

Of course, a monster cannot be excused for his ways, but knowing the triggers to changed the good into bad was so well done.

This is of my favourite themes. And it’s so well written.

I loathe repetition, and the number of details that have been repeated over and over in a short time is exhausting.
