10% left, I'm devastated, hopeless and just sad

I'm mad I have been sitting on this one for so long

Crying and begging for this book to rip me away from this god forsaken reading slump, so far so good.

My poor brain is absolutely fried from cramming for 5 exams. I'm about to die, and today I finally, finally!!! was able to read for once, even if it was a couple pages, in the doctor's waiting room, almost fell asleep cause I only slept for less than 3 hours... Lord help me.

I'm reading exceptionally slow cause uni is killing me and also cause every time I start reading this there are like 3 phrases in each page that floors me.

Ok, I got the urge and I don't even know what caused it, this book just popped up in my brain and refused to leave, so I started it.

I always lowkey swore off reading this series, never really felt compelled to read it. After I decided to use some prompts to pick my reads for this month I somehow ended up with this on my tbr and I don't really know how to feel bout it hahaha, wish me luck.

Ok, I totally don't know what the fuck just happened, but I feel terrible for loving every second of it.

I'm devastated.
Also, I know many people don't like this cause Jorg is horrible, but honestly, it has gripped me quite a bit lol.

I was itching for a fantasy, and this has been on my to read list for so long that I bit the bullet and went for it.

I'm not even gonna lie, this wouldn't be half as scary and disgusting to me if botflies weren't actually native to my country and I hadn't heard stories of them since way back when, and well, I had thankfully forgotten all about them until last year when in my insect taxonomy course they came up when we got to the order Diptera, I'm not very fond of them to say the least.

Idk why this book made me wanna try (and most likely fail) scientific illustration once again.

I'm gonna be honest, I never expected that the insect biology and taxonomy course I did last year would come in handy in this way hahahah. I used to really want to do scientific illustration, and illustrating insects is one of the most fun things ever, so this is basically tailored to me.

IM HOOKED

Being over 50% through this, I can say I understand some people's criticism, but as a former lover of SCP lore, I'm incredibly hooked.

Ok, I know I'm literally just in the beginning but I'm hooked already.

God, today I finally had that midterm that was haunting me, and hopefully I will finish this next week, though I really don't want it to end... at the same time I really do cause damn this bitch is suffering.
Mark my words, probably going to be in my top books of all time.

This is taking me an embarrassingly long time, but in my defense I've been studying my ass off, but anyway, this still got me on a chokehold.

I've basically just reading this on my commute to uni, and on down times, and holy shit the way this book has me on a chokehold.

Guys, not even gonna lie, last time I read this was back in February, I was in a mental health hospital and I dropped it as soon as I got out lmao, but I will someday continue it.
