A nice local book lots of tips and good stories a friendly fire dude chat kind of read. Was lucky enough to meet the author, a real down to earth guy who clearly loved fishing.

Good fly fishing and philosophy read, enjoyed his outlook and humor. Now I need to go seak out some trout water.

Good book third time reading it over the years, some good reading, enjoyed the wierd concept of Canada and usa,together lol. RIP mr Cussler.

I reread this book in the hopes of reading the veldtl veldt to my children after that I continued to read the rest of the book summer story still unnerve me it was a good read and a whole a lot of fun.

A little slow to read, but overall a great read , and good nostalgic insight into upland hunting.

So far so good , older perceptions of grouse and guns but an enjoyable insight to the
Grouse and upland bird and dog.

Could not get into this book, the language and tone just did not resonate with me.

Done reading now, a great book a little dark and sad but overall a great insight into the journey itself and the hardships of those involved. Still want to go visit the amazon though so it hasn't scared me off yet.

Pretty good funny at times, would I read it again not likely. It was an interesting journey that i wanted to read more about.

Loved this book good humerous and thoughtful stories.

Good down to earth story ,inspiring and makes you appreciate the sacrifices made by our men and women in the CAF. Really nice to see and hear a story from a Canadian point of view .
