This is a difficult book to read due to the horrific treatment of the boys.

DNF for me

I always enjoy the In Death series and have read all but the last two. I cannot remember when we were first introduced to the Icoves. Can anyone remember which book it was? I really want to read it again.

I read 140 pages of this 600 page book, extremely small print, and finally gave up. Possibly it is a very interesting story. However, I couldn't get past all the page upon page of details. This Dystopian tale did not hold my interest.

Finished the first two books

After reading the reviews, I had high hopes for this story. I read past my limit of 100 pages, don't like it stop. After page 110, I was done. I don't know why this book didn't keep me intrigued. I did not finish it.

Not my favorite Jane Harper story, but then again, I don't like drowning scenarios. It picked up speed toward the end and had a conclusion that I did not expect.

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors when I want to read something unusual and scary. The Whisper Man, by Alex North, was just too creepy for me. I think because it involved children so much. After making it through 93 pages, I could read no more.

I started this book as soon as I received it and read the first 185 pages before I could put it down! Now I have too much to do and have to wait all day before I can pick it up again. It's GOOD!
