Another wonderful trip through the war with a great story teller and narrator. I enjoyed the epilogue wherein the author gave historical facts and how (and why) he had to bend some of them for the story.

Another gem. I just love his writing style and the narrator's ability with accents...from French to Welch to Scottish, he's wonderful.

A big help with my research

I skipped a lot of the quotes and examples but gathered the actual writing exercises.

I completely loved this book! The story, the writing and the narrator. I enjoy how Margaret is portrayed and the relationship between and Henry! Can't wait to start book 2!

I am listening to this on my commute and really, really enjoy every moment. The writing is wonderful and captivating. The narrator is very talented as well.

Still at 45% and I can't pick it back up...I'm going to put it back on my "to be read" shelf for another time.

It's taking everything I have to keep listening to this book at this point. I just want it over with but there are another 21 hours... Maybe it's the audio, but Claire is SO WHINY I can't stand it. I'm not sure I can even finish it.

I'm really enjoying this book! It's my favorite time period and my favorite place, so it's like going home :) I love the author's descriptions of the slums, streets and even the Thames. All very much how my own visions see London in 1666.

I really enjoyed the story and I'm anxious for the next book!

This is tough to get through...but I've read as much as I probably will

love this book. I love his story intermingled with the recipes.

I am having the HARDEST time finishing this book. I just can't get through it...but I keep plugging on.

This is one of those books you pick up, read for a while, put down...I need to let it all sink in and journal for a bit them come back.
