Perseverance brought me to page 108. Now the same old feeling returns, when will this be over! Doesn't feel like I am reading a Shafak. Such a big let down,eternally dragging, even if all the anecdotes have some link and make sense later.

The only moving force that brought me to page 108 is the dreamy description of a murder by the murdered, intriguing it was, but right now do I care?

Such a mesmerizing way of storytelling. A reading experience that makes me want to do nothing but just go on page after page, that makes me feel nothing should ever take my attention away. Bought this at the airport during an incessant wait, sarcastically smirking at Rushdie's comment on the cover, "the greatest novel in any language, the last fifty years".
