WAY to long of a dedication and introduction. I almost didn’t get to chapter 1…on page 17!

NOT ANOTHER ONE! Too much. It’s dragging on at this point and redundant and just asinine that’s she’d be engaged to Leo. 🙄

Okay…we get it. Another Dec. 24th another boyfriend. 3 was enough, 4th is just too much. It’s time for Robbie.

A slow start and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of details that were unnecessary (like the design on the blanket and repeating of sorry therapist license multiple times). It is getting better and definitely more interesting as she is going through her ex’s.

Ok, now I understand why there was so much backstory, but some of it could have been cut out. I am thoroughly enjoying Poppy and Alex together.

Struggling to keep going. It feels like it’s just a repeat. We traveled this summer and did that another summer. There was an issue on a trip but it still hasn’t said what happened. Annoying.

Interesting premise…the 3 women are somehow intertwined through books and printing and the manuscript. However, the chapters skip between different times and characters and it is hard to keep up and/or follow at times.

Awful.

I will get through this book and be glad it is finished. There have been some interesting snippets, but overall I’m not impressed. I actually like Brown less and kind of wished I hadn’t run across the book at the library.

Pretentious. I loved watching Brown on Food Network…now I’m not so sure. This is why I don’t like to read autobiography/biography books. This took the magic out of Good Eats and Cutthroat Kitchen

It’s okay so far. Each chapter is its own story/essay/rumination…some are better than others. I feel like he took a thesaurus and threw a dart and tries to use the word. I know he seem to talk that way on TV, but it seems pretentious in the book.
