Also... why did they decide to do quit on the same day... that’s not suspicious. Not slick author. Definitely wanted to add drama and get a target put on her head. Ugh What were they thinking? Denon was obviously going to put two and two together. Rachel is DUMB!

I’m not liking the main female character so far. Rachel is lame, boring, and so scared of everything. She’s a push over especially when it comes to vampires, such as her ex-boss. Ugh hate it. It better get much more interesting.

So far, I don’t like the lady who narrates this book, so maybe as it plays I’ll get used to it... needed to speed it up for the voice to be just okay. Male voices from her aren’t so bad.

Okay...maybe not so bad of a voice actor for knox’s voice.

Listening to the audiobook version and the male narrator is not good. YIKES!! Daniel James Louis you need another job, hun. This one not it! Or practice more on your different voices.

So many character mentions and introduced...I cannot keep up! I swear they introduced at least ten characters in the beginning. It slowed, but now in part two they introduced more....yikes! PART 2 starts at 31 in this ARC

Has absolutely no connection to chapter 19, but this is my favorite phobia mentioned so far!

“The building was silent as the two BOYS made their way through the center aisle.” Aren’t these “boys” centuries old? Why label them as boys when they are clearly not!

Description of scenes so far and fight scenes are pretty good.

Are these phobias supposed to relate to the chapter? I’m not seeing the relation!!!

There’s a part that says she opened the door and he walked in but the next page said he took keys out of ignition and exits the vehicle. Doesn’t add up, but this books is really good so far. “She’d opened the door, so he walked through.” [Page 82, line 19 ] they got out of the truck, and he went around to the sidewalk... [page 83, line 5]

I’m really liking this book, but I’m so confused by a quote. “The stranger stood with her elbows on hips, hands wide and empty as wardens saluted one another in peace” How can someone have their elbows on their hips like it’s their hands. I even tried to reenact the scene, but my torso seems too long.
