Well, we've come a fair ways and still have a smidge to go. So far kind of voting for the unaging witch lady and the selfish old Alchemist.

Garth Nix really knows how to write a good short story! I mean, obviously, but still.

A few have been good, others I'm sort of mentally shrugging at.

Jake is finished with Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)
There is a lot of introspection and flashbacks. Kind of want to go a little further present wise.

This book is freaking great! The inversion of roles is fantastic and the writing is sublime! Plus the approach to magic is fascinating and ties the world up in a neat but appropriate fashion,

Well, the tale continues to unfold and become tricky. Which is no surprise becuase this is fantasy and it's never straight forward. Be kind of dull if it, I suppose. Still we've come quite the distance from the start of the book. Lots of dead people mind you. No doubt on that front. Davean is not handling the whole murder thing well but he's working on it. Wirr is a mystery and we've got a amnesiac and a survivor.

Well, this getting darker still. I am thoroughly impressed though with the ability to portray the protagonist as someone with some rather severe issues and how the not coping happens. It's like a horrifying math question. Just a reminder for my review. I think 4 stars is right so far.

This is awe inspiring. The use of imagery and unique approach to the use of magic and the personal condition that makes Hiresha both an extremely talented Enchantress and also incredibly handicapped is brilliant.

This, I like. It's bit hard to follow just how much technology has advanced and we haven't gotten much clue on this nanowitchery but it's still a really impressive book.

Honestly, kind of disappointed. IT's alright but I was expecting more of our main character. I honestly feel she should have forced Joe out of the her residence instead of being blah about it.

So far the wit is fun (Magnus was always the only redeeming character of the only 2 SHadowHunter books I read) but I don't feel at all apart of the story as usual. The writing doesn't seem alive. There was one or two good phrases and rather insightful moments but they still seem so very flat. Currently I'd give it 3 stars. Maybe it will pick up in some of the later stories in the book.
