This might ruin the movie for me, because the movie did NOT adapt this book lmao. It’s one of my favorite scifi movies but as an “adaptation” of this specific story, it fails.

If you could only re-read one book for the rest of your life, which book would you choose?

Reading this book very slowly partly because that's all my brain can handle right now, but also because I feel it is meant to be read slowly. It is meandering and melancholy and the writing wants to be savored. Definitely one of the most unique books I've ever read, I have a feeling it will become a new favorite.

Go to therapy, or do a monthly Lady Awakened reread…? Hmm 😂

Maybe I’ve just had too much wine tonight but this book has already had me near to tears AND laughing out loud in the first 15 pages. And the incredible Cecilia Grant recommended me this author so I already know it will be a new favorite 😭
