I'm really loving this so far

The way that this man talks about women and their bodies is absolutely appalling, my god

This book was very vulgar the first time around, but I fear with the shock factor worn off it's so much worse on a reread. I fear I'll rate it lower this time around, Veronica please stop talking about your grandmother like that

I'm actually starting to get into this, it's so damn vulgar though. Definitely is nearly unreadable without using an audiobook at the same time, or at least so annoyingly slow to read that it feels impossible to get into at the beginning at least

A very long, rambly book that I don't have the time (or patience) to properly give a chance right now. Maybe I'll revisit, but it's not a top priority. Onto the next🫡

Hugely graphic book that I will not be continuing with. Really interesting form but it's a brutal read and not for the faint of heart (me). I will say I tried to read it a few years ago and wasn't able to get into it at all because of the disjointed style, this time I got into the style but the content is a no-go

Dnf - I might come back to this at some point but I actually think the writing/themes addressed are too abrasive for right now

Losing my mind it's so good

Only one account into this collection and it's absolutely stunning. Genuinely harrowing but stunning all the same- a must read. Someone make sure I finish this after I'm finished cramming for the class

This book is crazily good. I always expected it to be, but still. Buying The Grapes of Wrath immediately after finishing this

This book is genuinely really good but I'm actually brutalising it by trying to listen to it in one night on 2x speed

Dnfing- the obsessive calorie counting and dissection of each girls' body is actually way too much. I might give it another go a different time but for now I'll stick with O'Neill's other books :)

There was a fairly slow/rocky start to this book but it just started to get interesting- I might try an older Michael Connelly book next time in case that's where most of his hype is from

Can I rate this five stars right now?

I can feel the potential for this book to break my heart but I have no idea yet how it'll do it-
So far it'll definitely be one of my favourite reads of the year

It's been 84 years (three days)

I'm just past how far I got the first time I tried to read this (37%) and I'm really loving this book, as of now it'll definitely be my favourite read of the year so far

Who thinks I can have this read by 11am tomorrow?

I'm enjoying this book as much as I ever hoped I would! Just finished volume 1 now and I actually can't wait for the main romance to take hold. I keep recounting the escapades of Bridget Jones to try and suss out the men, which is hilarious. Also the sister dynamic is so Little Women, which I adore. Very glad I've avoided any other adaptions until now so the story is still fresh

I'm actually really liking this so far, so I'm getting more and more wary of the apparently very controversial ending as I go on

This is making me realise that my main problem with the other Poirot books I've read so far has been with Hastings as narrator💀 I am now this random doctor's biggest fan

Is it bad that I'm not hating this book- it's so wuthering heights

This book is gonna make me cry on the train isn't it

Starting the 2024 reading off so strong- this book is stunning, I've been reading it all afternoon and I don't think I'll stop until I'm finished tonight

I'm so scared for the ending-

DNF at 56% - this book didn't captivate me in any way. Combined with the Breakfast at Tiffany's short story collection, I am decidedly not a fan of Truman Capote😔
