Is this book sponsored by the pandemic and Waze?

I usually only read Abby Jiminez for the Minnesota of it all, but 😮‍💨 these two have zero chemistry. I really hope this picks up 🥴

I just adore Tom’s ultra dramatic and poetically metaphorical internal dialogue and dramatics. The way he performs out his “sufferings” inside his mind has brought me much amusement 😅

I have such conflicting feelings about Abby Jiminez books. She is hilarious and some of her characters have been total hits for me, but I could not stand the utter perfection of her MCs in Part of Your World so I’m hesitant (but hopeful) starting this one.

I will say, I absolutely love her commitment to Minnesota and that in and of itself makes this book worthy of my time.

Emily Henry is magic

Just about half way through (about 6 hrs in) and there is no part of me that is enjoying this story. This is the DNF dilemma 😣

30% in and there is nothing good to speak of, this story is super boring. The 🥱 storyline is somehow better than the even more 🥱 characters. If it doesn’t pick up soon this is going to be an easy DNF

I’m only like 10% of the way into this and so far it’s goooooooood

Realizing this is my 4th Christian memoir out of the last 6 books I’ve read. I going to need some of the fiction books from my TBR to come off of hold at the Library 😅

I can’t for the life of me figure out where I heard of this book or why I added it to my TBR. But what I do know is: so far this author is hilarious.

Gosh, you know a book is under your skin when you start crafting your review as you read. There are pros and cons to this one, I need to let it marinate more before I flesh out my review.
