The friend to friend narrative is starting to wear thin for me as I'm getting near the end of this book.

Chapter 3, on how we think about God, is perhaps one of the most profound expositions as to the central meaning of being a Christian.

"Jesus's good news about the kingdom can be an effective guide for our lives only if we share his view of the world in which we live."

I didn't finish it. The Mysterious Stanger; the last story in the collection; made me lose interest.

My highlighter crayons are going to get used up reading this book! Chapter 2; The gospels Of Sin Management - so true and indicative of the main source of the chasm between the equally faulty hard left and hard right declarations of what being a follower of Christ means in today's world. I intentionally did not capitalize the word "Gospel" due to the lies involved as to what is is coming from both right and left.

Pagew is 48 and 49 are full of some very central truth, which explains the vast divide between Christians living out their faith and those that are merely counting on reconciliation .
