Enjoying this even more than the first one, but I’m a starship nerd, and this tale is loaded with the details 99.99% of other readers probably wouldn’t care about. Awesome world-building and material culture, and gut-wrenching plot setup.

Classic Moore so far!

Normally, I utterly *detest* dual-narrator stories, but Westerfeld is really nailing this one. Really enjoying the various tensions and unfolding stories.

Another delightfully unique female YA protagonist in a supernatural setting that's both fun and well-thought out. Onward!

Like another reviewer says right on the front cover, I had no idea how much I needed this book until I encountered it... fun, eye-opening, authentic and still seems to honor the superhero/metahuman genre.

Slow, confusing start, but I'm really enjoying the narrative now--basically a middle-grade post apocalyptic steampunk Indiana Jones kind of thing. Super fun!

Has there ever been a book so wonderfully absurd in the history of wonderful absurdity? I doubt it. This book will be a hundred years old in just a matter of months, and while the hero is a combination of Forrest Gump and Superman, I'm not tired of him yet in the least.

Scary stuff. Neil Gaiman was right--this is an important book.
