I'm taking my time with this one. It's devastating.

The writing is exquisite, but I'm not sure how I feel about the story. It's a bit cliche and stereotypical so far, which, for me, is offputting. If it wasn't for the beautiful prose, I wouldn't have guessed Flanagan wrote it.

I'm not feeling this one. The writing is poor and feels rushed, and the story so far has been drawn out and predictable. The Beekeeper of Alleppo is still one of my favourite books by Lefteri, but this one is a bit disappointing so far. Let's see if it changes in the next 200 pages
