Okay I’m not trying to be annoyed at this but pretty much the entire time, the FMC has not exactly expressed her attraction to the MMC or really seen a ‘playful side of him’ that she loves because she’s pretty much either avoided him or has been rude to him so I think something must have gotten edited out or otherwise. Also a few things too similar to other reads has me a little bothered right now.

I’m curious that now that she’s in the cabin what will happen next. I still want to know why River did what he did.

I’m honestly trying not to cry right now.

Okay.. this has a 30 year old FMC who appears to have rheumatoid arthritis and has magic!? Aside from the beautiful writing, I’m already sold and loving this.

I’m liking the building blocks to this book but I have a feeling this book is kind of dragging just to push the rest of the plot in the series. I guess I can understand that.

I’m kind of wondering what happened to the maturing, to be taken serious character growth of Callie. The internal dialogue is getting a bit grating and it’s seeming to backslide quite a bit in the final book.

I like reading from Desmond’s POV. So far it’s been pretty badass.

I can start to see Cassie’s character growth but still see she’s got some insecurity trying to be liked and approved of by others and hope she doesn’t back track.

This has been a bit slower of a read and I’m trying to enjoy it, but I’m not entirely sure where this is going yet.

Freaking love the battle scenes. It’s going to be epic.

I’m actually excited to read Malina’s POV. I’m so freaking happy for her redemption arc from Gold. I knew she wasn’t a total B, it’s not entirely her fault she got screwed by Midas, too.

So I’m actually really happy for Rissa and Osrik.
