Emily Randolph-Epstein is on page 113 of 304 of Sex with Kings: 500 Years of Adultery, Power, Rivalry, and Revenge
No wonder we're still dealing with misogyny and having to hammer home the idea of consent. Some really interesting history here that's not often touched upon because royal mistresses haven't been considered "important" enough to the overall historical narrative. There are some fascinating woman discussed in this book and I want to read biographies of them all.

Emily Randolph-Epstein is on page 70 of 264 of Pirate Women: The Princesses, Prostitutes, and Privateers Who Ruled the Seven Seas
I'm loving how global and inclusive this book tries to be. I've only really heard about Western female pirates. It's nice to find historical heroines from other cultures.

While I'm enjoying learning more about the Grisha, I'm really hoping that Alina starts taking an active role in her fate sometime soon.

Emily Randolph-Epstein is 45% done with Spider-Verse
I've never really been able to get into spider-man before and now I think that's because I don't really like Peter Parker as a character. Spider-Verse presents us with so many alternate versions of spider-man/spider-woman/spider-whatever that I can enjoy all the fun of the Spider-man comics without getting hung up on how much I don't like Peter Parker.

Loving it. Combines elements of some of my favorite things: Jane Austin, Treasure Planet, L.A. Meyer's Bloody Jack. I'm having a great time.

This book is so good! I want to skip work to finish it, but I need to work so I can buy every single book Catherynne Valente's ever written.
