Cannot put it down and very close to forgetting basic human needs atm

Soft DNF, may revisit in the future but the amount of worldbuilding is giving me a headache and really not my vibe

DNF, can’t even get through chapter one, the writing is bad. Reads like a first draft and doesn’t flow.

Might come back to it later because I hear book 2 is great.

DNF middle of chapter one - the writing is far too juvenile for me, I was internally cringing every other paragraph

3 chapters in and I’m SO confused? I have to re read every other paragraph to figure out if I missed something or if it’s just not explained. Feels a bit like joining a group chat mid convo and no one bothers trying to explain what’s going on… My brain is tired.

DNF - may come back to it later because I hate not finishing a book, but it’s pretty bad. The flashbacks are boring, the whole Briar/Marcus romance is cringe and a bit rushed and the plot seems to be stalling since half the chapters are flashbacks
