This is going to be a great book! Expertly written. Challenges my mind. Addresses a difficult subject. A subject seen through the eyes of a young boy. All pluses!

Won this book in a goodreads giveaway! Just getting to know this young fellow whose mother is chronically ill, his father left the family and he is leaving his childhood home to move in with his grandparents. Looks like it is going to be a great read!

Many, many avenues to travel down in this book! Where will it lead? Sometimes I'm doing some backtracking, trying to figure out myself the answers. Hmmm.....

I am an Upstate Southerner, a want-a-be low country! A slow read but only because I am taking in the experience and the uniqueness of the characters and the plot..
