A slow read, since you have to ponder over what you’ve read before moving on. Very good insights from a brilliant mind

Am not enjoying the cattiness of all the women.
Weak plot. Will not be finishing it

Deep. Can only read a few pages at a time. Then have to think about it before I can go on.

Barb is reading Lowcountry Summer (Lowcountry Tales, #7)
A good read!!! Dorothea is true to form and makes this book worth reading. She is funny, witty, with a dose of Southern charm and an understanding of real human experiences. Her characters come alive and are on display with all of their flaws, virtues and life experiences. I think we can all identify with them in one way or another. Well done !!

Excellent insight into racial inequalities, in particular within the Catholic Church. Do if you think there is no racism within the Catholic Church, read this book

Barb is reading The Church and the Racial Divide: Reflections of an African American Catholic Bishop
Frank and informative summary of the Racial Divide in our country from the unique perspective of an African American Catholic Bishop. Looks not only at segregation in our cities and schools, but churches as well. Well written with specific insights on ways we can bridge these gaps.
