This is really good. I actually really enjoyed the whole set up. I would have been happy if the whole story was just about old people becoming young again in space. But the actual war part is interesting too. It is cheap writing that the main character seems to be the key factor a couple times already. Squad leader then the ammo thing. But it doesn't annoy me like those who are "naturals".

I'm curious to see where this goes.

This book isn't about who done it ... Or really even how. But the rest of it doesn't really make one cohesive point either. Its just...a slice of time told as a story. But it is not really about an assassin and definitely not about gardening

Who is Eleanor and why is she butting in, is she murder she wrote????

I was expecting this to be about the retired assassin, but it seems to be more about the people in the town he moved into. Not bad but not as expected.

I hate to say it but Maggie Gyllenhaal is not a good voice actor. While the others feel like the character, it is acting, she feels like shes reading a script and trying to act as shes reading it.

you can tell this is written as a horror book of the 1800 century. The style of writing, of simple descriptions or just implications instead of long descriptions and spelling out a persons thoughts and actions. It feels like a tale that you tell over a camp fire written down some times. Very interesting to see the differences in writing styles

i'm listening to the audible full cast version of this book and it is a little hard to tell the difference between Dracula and Jonathan. They aren't obvious.

When does dracula show up??

i am blowing through this book! b/c its good

its good to be back in these worlds. and even though its been a while i actually remember the players and environments and whats going on. i accredit that to good story telling b/c getting back into it doesn't feel like hes spoon feeding me "previously on" at all

I do love the time travel aspect. I wonder if it will be ground hogs day. I don't think so. I feel like this is a one chance to make changes.

This book rolls well from the first book and I see why they are published together. But it is a little similar to the first one just with new characters. I do like the racoon wizard though. He's squishy

While i did predict somewhat of what happened, it didn't ruin the story for me. its still cute and fun and even though something is expected it doesn't mean its bad. i've got the epilogue left.

the opening of this book is dry. it is literally a history lesson with names and places. i zone out for a lot of it. i got the gist. but to start the book out that way nearly made me walk away. it has gotten better, but not smart to start there.

At some point this is just a summary of villains that other people have created and nothing really original. Its just observations after reading a lot of superhero stories.

And I don't like that he said no matter what men should not wear women's clothes.

This is...interesting. It does seem to mostly be someone describing different traits of villains from different popular stories in the world. They do reference some well known IP, but then make up their own as well. Its sometimes clever and it is humorous, but it seems derivative - just writing down observations of villains, nothing really new.

This is cute. A demon having to deal with the mundane life of a mortal. It's well written with good descriptions and the demon's inner monologue somehow makes you connect with him while also reminds you that hes a demon and you should not root for him, but you want to.

I know this is a book for kids but it's annoying that he says "which means" and then give the definition of what he just said. Context is the point it's like he thinks we're stupid.

i can see why this is considered a "cozy" read. its character driven, no high stakes, just getting to know each other book. its cute.

this book has over 1M ratings and still has a 4.3 star rating thats crazy! so of course i'm interested in finding out why.

This is nice. I do wish there was more sound effects to go along with the actions they do. And sometimes when a voice is supposed to be in the distance I can barely hear them. Even with headphones on.

Why is it none of them will mention the black mailing even when they have dozens of opportunities to do so!! Ugh!!!! Its starting to get annoying.

I do wish that books did not always had characters just not want to tell someone something important as the way to push the issue/drama forward. its so cliche and easy writing. Beside that i'm happy we finally see Morrigan's magic.

I am happy we are seeing more of the schooling and teaching. would love even more of it. so would Morrigan though

Just found out this series isn't finished. Well that's annoying. But it also means I'll probably do a reread in the future. Which is good bc I'll notice more details.
