i can see why this is considered a "cozy" read. its character driven, no high stakes, just getting to know each other book. its cute.

this book has over 1M ratings and still has a 4.3 star rating thats crazy! so of course i'm interested in finding out why.

This is nice. I do wish there was more sound effects to go along with the actions they do. And sometimes when a voice is supposed to be in the distance I can barely hear them. Even with headphones on.

Why is it none of them will mention the black mailing even when they have dozens of opportunities to do so!! Ugh!!!! Its starting to get annoying.

I do wish that books did not always had characters just not want to tell someone something important as the way to push the issue/drama forward. its so cliche and easy writing. Beside that i'm happy we finally see Morrigan's magic.

I am happy we are seeing more of the schooling and teaching. would love even more of it. so would Morrigan though

Just found out this series isn't finished. Well that's annoying. But it also means I'll probably do a reread in the future. Which is good bc I'll notice more details.

There are some parts of this book that hint at obvious things, but still don't give it all away. I appreciate that. Makes it enjoyable to follow knowing something is going to be revealed but you are not 100% sure what it is.

This is a fun story. Lots of unknowns waiting to be discovered but not so mysterious that you get annoyed at knowing nothing. It's a kids book but still good for adults too.

This is cute. I think depending on how it goes I'll recommend it to my Harry Potter loving niece.

I know i am partial to vampires but i really hope Amanda joins their little band permanently. she doesn't have a coven after all - could be good for her :)

the sanderlanche started a while ago, but with only 11% left i'm curious how all of this is going to wrap up. and no book 2 so it had to wrap up

I am enjoying that he is giving Sereny more smarts and cunning even though she is in a world of "traditional" men. she is trying to convert women but also understands the world shes in. I keep wanting her to learn who "spirit" really is. i'm sure we'll get there. but Part 1 is now done and i'm enjoying it.

I am enjoying the story in general. it is interesting and unique. There are a lot of names and people and places all at the beginning so its a little confusing, but because he breaks it into POVs i am following ok. Recently there was one part that seemed like someone agreed and changed WAY too easily and quickly. poor writing, not suspicious behavior. but it was one moment of hundreds. still a good story

As a huge Sanderson fan it is sad that it has taken me so long to read this book

I said in my review of the last book this story is told through events, not necessarily character building. there is some, but not a lot. Its not a bad thing. In fact i appreciate that the author recognizes it and even gives the timeline of when things are happening. it makes me appreciate that there is no one way to write a good story

well then...curious to see how the last 2/3s of this book goes.

jumping right in to this one. lets close it all out.

you know i would love this story told through the mountain clan. learn how they accomplished what they accomplished. and i think hearing Eit's (spelling?) strategy plans and manipulations would be fascinating.

these are some fun books. easy read.

this is such a complex political drama. the first book really does not prepare you for how detailed and expansive the story gets. honestly the authors ramp up of intellectual story is spectacular.

This book is getting a lot bigger. The first book was consolidated into one town, one family, one fight. Now it's multiple countries, multiple threats, dozens of people. It is a big difference but in a good way. The author is doing well at acclimating you to the new expansion

wow helo. wow. i've never read a book where i'm not rooting for one of the main characters. i really hope this whole book turns on him and he loses and his way of thinking dies off.

ooo that war. also i sometimes forget that helo is not actually a good guy. he is a criminal boss who rules through fear and violence. its interesting to be a reader assuming they are the good guys in all of this
