I am enjoying the story in general. it is interesting and unique. There are a lot of names and people and places all at the beginning so its a little confusing, but because he breaks it into POVs i am following ok. Recently there was one part that seemed like someone agreed and changed WAY too easily and quickly. poor writing, not suspicious behavior. but it was one moment of hundreds. still a good story

As a huge Sanderson fan it is sad that it has taken me so long to read this book

I said in my review of the last book this story is told through events, not necessarily character building. there is some, but not a lot. Its not a bad thing. In fact i appreciate that the author recognizes it and even gives the timeline of when things are happening. it makes me appreciate that there is no one way to write a good story

well then...curious to see how the last 2/3s of this book goes.

jumping right in to this one. lets close it all out.

you know i would love this story told through the mountain clan. learn how they accomplished what they accomplished. and i think hearing Eit's (spelling?) strategy plans and manipulations would be fascinating.

these are some fun books. easy read.

this is such a complex political drama. the first book really does not prepare you for how detailed and expansive the story gets. honestly the authors ramp up of intellectual story is spectacular.

This book is getting a lot bigger. The first book was consolidated into one town, one family, one fight. Now it's multiple countries, multiple threats, dozens of people. It is a big difference but in a good way. The author is doing well at acclimating you to the new expansion

this is adorable and fun. i needed something b/c my libby borrow of another book is on hold. this is a great option

wow helo. wow. i've never read a book where i'm not rooting for one of the main characters. i really hope this whole book turns on him and he loses and his way of thinking dies off.

ooo that war. also i sometimes forget that helo is not actually a good guy. he is a criminal boss who rules through fear and violence. its interesting to be a reader assuming they are the good guys in all of this

I feel like jade war was a better title for book 1.

Shae should have become pillar.

This is a fun gangster and magic family drama story. its different from my normal fantasy reads. i like it.

i'm not used to reading modern magic books any more. hearing them talk about the power of the jade then get in a sports car is kind of funny.

ok this is really annoying. the entire story about elrick and the nesk is "a long story" and "complicated". there is only 2.5 hours left and thats all we get? are there other books that i don't know about that i was supposed to read in between? b/c if not this is terrible writing. i'm so confused and under whelmed b/c he does this a lot in these stories

there is not much time left and there are still so many questions unanswered. i hope he get to them all.

the further along i get in this book i wonder how the author will explain things. will he? i hope so. if not then this book really is written like there is a prequel or in between stories that i missed out on. something.

sometimes when he references people, places, or the past he does it like he had fully explained it in another part of the story. like there are middle books (novellas) that give greater detail. makes me wish there was one

Ok learning how those snake things were made really cool. This is more the info I wanted than all of the flash backs last book. Last book I often was confused the point of the conversations.

the summary was exactly what i needed. honestly there were some parts that explained it way better than the book described it. at point i said "oooh thats how it happened" b/c remembering when it happened in the book i did not understand that to be the case. this is mostly with the flashback scenes and who all of the venerate are and their roles.

Ok so seeing the story now. Took long enough. Seems it was overly complicated for someone who did as God said then regretted it.

i keep having this inclining that tal and davian are somehow the same person. but i think thats wrong. but interesting vision he had - more names we know, more pieces coming together. this author loves to keep you confused and in the dark with just a pin prick of light. Also love how he uses names from other fantasy books for inspo

This book is a little confusing as to who all of these people are and what is happening with kayden. i almost want to cheat and look online but i also want to give the author the benefit of the doubt and that he will explain it as we go. i am only a quarter of the way in after all.

Are the bobs becoming to...ruler of the universe God like thinkers? Making decisions for all without asking. Not that us humans are good at making the right decision but is Bob?
