sometimes when he references people, places, or the past he does it like he had fully explained it in another part of the story. like there are middle books (novellas) that give greater detail. makes me wish there was one

Ok learning how those snake things were made really cool. This is more the info I wanted than all of the flash backs last book. Last book I often was confused the point of the conversations.

the summary was exactly what i needed. honestly there were some parts that explained it way better than the book described it. at point i said "oooh thats how it happened" b/c remembering when it happened in the book i did not understand that to be the case. this is mostly with the flashback scenes and who all of the venerate are and their roles.

Ok so seeing the story now. Took long enough. Seems it was overly complicated for someone who did as God said then regretted it.

i keep having this inclining that tal and davian are somehow the same person. but i think thats wrong. but interesting vision he had - more names we know, more pieces coming together. this author loves to keep you confused and in the dark with just a pin prick of light. Also love how he uses names from other fantasy books for inspo

I'm still confused by caedyns story and who everyone is. I'm starting to figure it out but still lost.

This book is a little confusing as to who all of these people are and what is happening with kayden. i almost want to cheat and look online but i also want to give the author the benefit of the doubt and that he will explain it as we go. i am only a quarter of the way in after all.

Are the bobs becoming to...ruler of the universe God like thinkers? Making decisions for all without asking. Not that us humans are good at making the right decision but is Bob?

it really does seem like nothing is going right for any of them.

Happy to be back in the bobiverse. The creativity of the worlds is fantastic!

This book has a lot of convenience writing. It's not terrible it's not all the time but it does seem like during big moments everything just seems to go the way it needs to go to let the story move forward without any major issues.

I like that the story is expanding beyond just the original cast. I don't remember Dain from the first book, but i like hearing his story.

It all seems a little convenient that the main characters have all still survived inconvenient ways.

ok now as we get further along, interacting with the kids more i'm starting to be able to differentiate them. but it took 60% into the book to do so.

that said, the rest of the story and reveals have been good and entertaining. i just wish there was more. more explanation. more time in each story. it seems hes trying to keep them short.

The addition of so many new people at once and new types of parahumans at the same time has me confused who's who. I don't like it. This series is usually easier to follow.

this is an interesting change of pace from the normal issues. now we have annoying young adult issues. i hope they all get put in their place b/c these gen z kids drive me crazy

Ok this book is very confusing. I read the first book but I'm so lost. I went back and read my review for the first book and it basically says this story is confusing, It's not well explained, and it isn't very exciting. Well same with this one. I think I'm gonna put it down. I have no clue what's happening.

I'm really enjoying this book. It is definitely inspired by Lord of the rings but it is not a copy. Honestly I think I'm enjoying it more than LOTR. I feel LOTR does have some times lag and go slow. This one keeps a good pace.

Really enjoying this. I mean they are thrown into it unceremoniously. The best heros are those through trauma. It's interesting to keep seeing where it goes next. Feels very LOTR

Enjoying this. 25% in and still waiting for the magic.

i'm so confused. time travel? shape shifting? aliens? i feel like i missed something earlier in the book that would have hinted towards all of this but i'm pretty sure it didn't. so much of this feels like it comes out of no where. for such a long book i would expect some kind of foreshadowing.

This book has a lot of twists. And most are not expected. I'm enjoying it. Its not so many that it feels like cheap writing. That said suddenly someone can teleport which has NEVER been mentioned as a thing so that's umm....what??

This is an interesting plot twist. I think I have figured out the elders true motives but they haven't been explicit so I could be wrong. If I am could be another interesting plot twist if I'm not I'm curious to see how it plays out. And who is wyrs father

i like it so far. its a typical coming of age journey story while learning about and dealing with inequality. lets see how it grows

I'm looking forward to finishing this book bc it's terrible and I want to be done with it. But it's so short so it's pointless to put it on DNF.

This far in I might as well finish but it's not good. Its all dialogue. They don't describe the world. You sometimes get mentions of weather or the type of location they are in but that's it. A manor. A castle. Woods. That's the description. Its a cliche and stereotypical.

this is very short and seems to move along quickly. i do hope they get more into the lore and how/when vampires were created/made. not just appeared b/c of a comet.

I'm really enjoying this book and I wish I had book 2 right away but I have to wait till next month 😭
