Loved it !!

Cute, nostalgic and very unusual story of 10 year old friends Grace and Tilly. Set in a cul de sac in England during the scorching summer of 1976 with flashbacks to 1967, it's endearing and beautifully written. An utter joy to read!

Loved it of course!! Harry Bowling is a genius as far as I'm concerned. His stories are realer than real life itself! He slightly exaggerates human traits which makes his novels a treat to breeze through. How he kept up with all the characters who they were married to and where they lived is a miracle and then to tell a story as well! Amazing talent! Five stars from me!

I'm loving this book, really interesting characters and truthful old fashioned story about Bermondsey just after World War Two ! Must look out for more books by Harry Bowling.
