Estos cuentos cortos siempre son un buen entremés.

The setting is very interesting but the slow building of the characters feels like an extra weight some times.

I first read a book of this series back in 1995 and is so exiting to be back to this realm. I can actually feel the synapses sparkling again in those old parts of my brains and breathing life to it all over again.. Quoting the book is like being "born again in the blood".

Throwing a curb ball there(maybe a spoiler?) : I think the dead king is William.

I am enjoying the King more, his cunning stretch the boundaries of deus ex machina, fool's luck, and pure brightness..

Maybe I got fond of Jorg in the first book, maybe the author had some better insights on this one.. but I am liking the pace.. going back to the brotherhood without his murder-lust thoughts every 2 paragraphs was refreshing..

I don't know what was all the fuss about an amoral main character, it's interesting how some life event can turn people this way and that's what the writer seems to be exploring so far..

Good book, kind-of juggling the characters all over places and killing good companions, but in the end a good pirate / fantasy story.
