It’s just really funny to me that Known Mormon Sanderson wrote a book where the leader of an isolated community installs himself as a prophet that others treat as a false god. I’ve seen a musical about this before I think… but I’ve heard people say he makes the Mormonism more obvious later idk

The worst part about reading this book is that it isn’t just that it and she are problematic, it’s just the wasted potential of this concept. Like it’s conceptually not very original but the writing makes it BAD

This book is so anachronistic first it’s all medieval and shit and then “sexiest” and “dirty talk” I can’t help but feel like some of these terms are more recent
