I like murder mysterious in fantasy settings but sometimes you can just tell how much these fantasy authors ride for their male main characters.

Yeah no Cardan is a serial killer. Why is the male lead writing Jude’s name many times in a single paper that may or may not is stained with blood? I don’t really care that he is being abused by Balekin. He should know not to abuse others since HE IS THE VICTIM. I can’t take anymore of him. 1. He is specist/racist 2. He is obsessed with Jude to the point of him writing her name many times in a single paper.

I don’t like Adam. He is playing mind games and every time I love him again, we get new info that he’s keeping secrets. I don’t care for Aaron but he has his charming moments. I also the hate the many similes, metaphors, and weird lines.

Jude is so stupid. Prince Cardan can rightfully kill her and her family because she’s “fighting back”, and she agreed in a too good to be true oath to Prince Dain so he’ll control her. I can already see Dain using it against her when Cardan and Jude fall in love. 💀
