Love these coming of age stories of generations of families. Hoonie sounded like a gem. Sorry he died so soon but Sunja and mom seem like they are going to be our protags?

We just met isak. Seems like a good guy. Has money but isn’t entitled. Could be smitten with Yangjin.

Interesting start, in the sense that the story is deliberately burying the lead. It’s vague in almost every way but still intriguing which is something.

I feel like my continued reading is more in the hopes that something will make sense soon. I’m about 1/3 of the way through. If by the halfway point we don’t have some clarity I might be frustrated.
