Maybe this is evil of me but genuinely when books present a moral argument like "you've unwittingly joined a criminal syndicate and now you have to k*ll someone or we k*ll your family" the answer to me is always protect your family lol. I'd probably be a villain in these books oopsie

I still hate the protagonist shes lowkey annoying

I find it cringe when the cursing in fantasy books are like "by the 7 hells" or "curse the twin moons" lolll it just seems so inconvenient to say

They keep on saying that Alma is the absolute worst but she's just trying to survive and I think that's my biggest gripe with "morally gray" characters bc she's barely one she's just being manipulated by an eldritch god who BY THE WAY I don't even understand why she likes. I do like all the gore and plot twists though. I do lowkey think Alma's a bit spineless.

Part of me is screaming perpetually at Rin when she makes a juvenile decision but I keep forgetting she's a teenager with god like powers of COURSE she has no purpose or drive or anything in life she's so young of COURSE she's easily manipulated by the older ppl she craves approval from (VAISRA)
