Great writing and an easy read. But seems more catered to a reader who is not from a south asain background, which is probably why it made Reece’s book club. Nonetheless it was quite enjoyable and easy to get behind the main character Lakshmi because who doesn’t love a girl who came from nothing, had the courage to leave a shitty relationship and go on to build her own thriving business.. in the 1950s, Jaipur✨
