Do the characters of books come alive for you? Could they?

Good so far! I'm enjoying this book. It's unusual. The, ummm, characters are really coming to life!!! 😂

A surprisingly interesting read, with all sorts of snippets from English history to fill out the story of two women taking up and becoming detectorists.

Interesting. Good ideas. A travel into memory. Your own and others. Alive and Dead? Reading on!

It's a bit slow and, to be frank I'm not sure I'm that interested already, even at this stage. I'm probably going to read on for now but it's dragging already and that's a bad sign.
I dislike leaving a book and not finishing it but this might be one of those!
Reading in hope that it'll get better.......

A good read! Well plotted as with the first book and very relatable characters.

A reread to try out a Kobo app on an old tablet. So far, so good!:-)

Just reading a sample download after finding an interesting article on the book in The Guardian online UK edition. I may buy this!

So far it's OK, probably 3-stars, but this isn't a book that I'd come back to. The concept is intriguing, I'll give it that.

Interesting. Common sense in many respects but very readable and less academic than many suck books.

Original, intriguing, brilliant ideas and world-building plus top notch inventiveness.
