I'm reading Jane of Lantern Hill for the first time and I am in AGONIES. How is L. M. Montgomery so very good at making me feel as miserable as the characters she's writing about. First Valancy, and now Jane. Oh how I despise Jane's Grandmother!

I cannot--I surely cannot--be the only person who starts two or three books in the last week of December to give myself a head start on the coming year's list of books read.

Surely.

Updated my reading goal to 50, because I've just one month left, and by golly, there was no way to make up for lost time. I've been working overtime almost every week and haven't had that extra time to spend reading. Most of the reading I have done has been on my fifteen minute breaks, cutting my reading time in half. :'(

I have been put into a rather mortifying situation because of this book. I was reading it over lunch and laughing uproariously. Unfortunately for me, my boss was making a business call in the room next door. To make things worse, when I tried to explain myself I thoughtlessly told him I was reading a story about a man suffering nicotine withdrawal.

My boss smokes.

Woe is me.

I keep a record of my books in two places. One on Goodreads, and one in a notebook, for if I am without access to internet. I'm really glad I went through them today and checked up on my list of books, because there were several in the notebook that I hadn't put on Goodreads and several on Goodreads that I hadn't put in the notebook! I couldn't figure out why I was so far behind! Now I'm two books ahead.

I've been reading books and dating them, but they won't appear on my reading challenge. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, do you know how I can fix it?

Well folks, I really hate to do it, but I've left a lot of the groups I used to be a part of. I love you guys, and I will try to stay in touch, if I can, but I'm not on goodreads much anymore. Okay folks, I probably won't be around AT ALL for about a month. Family Stuff, (the good, adventure-going kind) but I'm planning on coming back. I just won't have WiFi for the most part. I'll miss you!

Hey, I'm not going to be on here very often for quite a while. Just wanted to give people a heads up. I'll try to wrap everything up everything in the group's I'm in, and I'll pop in occasionally, but I won't be a regular anymore. :(

My mum gave me this book for Christmas and I just picked it up this afternoon and have been reading it between chores and visitors. So far it's fascinating and I wanna keep reading but it's late so I have to set it aside. Which is hard because Mum said something interesting would happen in this chapter. WHY MUST THIS HAPPEN TO ME?
