This a very sad story of the pain that Italy had to endure during the second world war. If you read it be prepared to be outraged how people were killed or made to suffer.

I have alway enjoy Dinesh D'Souza. I have never been a fan of Socialism. Ever since the economic failure at Plymouth plantation, I have believed socialism simply doesn't work. Equal share of the production leads to an empty barn. The US of Socialism does explore socialism but also is very critical of the Democratic Party. The book leaves me very troubled.

I remember when these crimes occurred but they never made any sense. I finally decided to read this book. The writer Vincent Bugliosi was just incredible in his search for truth. I have never read a book so thoroughly researched. I was surprised how corrupt and sickening the Manson Family were. Now that I have finished the book I still wonder how so many individuals could waste their lives.

I enjoyed this book. I could sense Card working and reworking his story in his mind. I didn't care for the ending but he warned me. This was my first Card book but somehow I think it won't be the last.
