i have loved and adored this series for the past two years. i fell in love with casteel and poppy from the moment they met in fbaa. i have become utterly consumed by how much this series has helped me that i never thought i could be disappointed by it. but awotq has disappointed me so far. i like it, but i’m not loving it. it has been cas and poppy from day one and it’s not feeling like that anymore. i’m sad.

i was loving this book up until this very moment. w t a f.

i was overly generous with the second book rating, given that the end was a cluster-fuck and the h was saying and doing everything i don't like a h doing. BUT NOW THIS?! the constant back and forth, the same conversations but in different ways, Story (h) just as a whole. what is happening? i want to leave, but i'm too invested.

look... i'm not Story's biggest fan right now. she's grating my nerves, and the amount of times i've whispered 'stfu' under my breath is ridiculous. why? why?!

I've never felt more frustrated by a male character than I do Quinn. I love him, but I also hate his guts.

i'm well aware that i'm reading this series backwards.... don't judge my choice of reading order. thank you :)

I swear Melanie Harlow never fails to write a steamy, good romance with all the angst too.

School is back on and I'm drowning. My lack of reading time right now is honestly life-ruining. As for the book, I'm still not liking it as much as I did Serpent & Dove, but I'm still enjoying it. That's fair.
